Welcome to Long Beach Rescue Mission. A ministry built and run to honor our Lord on earth and in heaven.

God has given us the honor to serve the needy and homeless men, women, and children of the Long Beach and harbor area. We live and serve in a city of great beauty and diversity. Long Beach is a community with people from all over the United States and the world. Yet, there are many people in need of assistance here. Each year we have more requests for food and shelter.

Our Goal is to:

  • Use our resources wisely and change families for generations to come.
  • Assist our guests in true “life change”.
  • Help the needy by providing food and shelter.
  • Mentor them to give them life skills and hope.
  • Teach them of a loving God who will walk with them during this process and life. (Psalms 147:11 the Lord delights in those who fear him, who put their hope in his unfailing love.)
  • Place them back in society as self-supporting members of this great community.

We at the Mission are grateful for the generous support and onsite assistance from individuals, churches, school groups, businesses, and service organizations. We are blessed to have so many sharing in our ministry. 2007 will be an awesome year at the Mission. Many new programs have started in 2006, and will continue to expand in 2007. The facility is undergoing extensive renovations.

Please pray for the Mission, our staff, volunteers, and most importantly the people who need our services. This is the greatest way you can help us and others.
